Finally, we can claim as many monsters as we want at once, hopefully this fixes the group enmity/tanking dynamics. Right now you can't hold any hate on unclaimed adds which is a real pain. However, I see no provision to prevent someone claiming monsters with no intention to kill them as a griefing maneuver. I suppose since claim is not locked though you can just attack it and kill it anyway. We'll see.

The "call for reinforcements" system is slightly confusing but sounds good if it works how I think. I think it's saying that if you fight a monster weaker than your party's combined strength, it will automatically link with further away monsters (only once per fight) so that its combined strength matches yours. Considering you get bonus exp for fighting linked monsters this might enhance exp grinding a bit.

And it seems like exp chains work exactly the same way they did in FFXI, even down to the even match requirement and reduced time per successive chain, good news.

the claim system sounds like it would be useful when farming. attack one monster but dont kill it, and it will gather all the monsters in the vicinity for you.
