well glad they got rid of the random items needed for goldsmith crafts, but no new recipes for a lot of the goldsmith items yet?

Goldsmith will be useful whenever they get rid of the "dated" accessories and release the new ones. My guess is - it will happen in the 1.21 patch when they abolish slot cost.

They will probably revise the current slots so you can only wear 2 rings or something. 4 rings, 2 wristlets, 2 earrings, and 1 necklace seems like a lot of accessories IMO.

Slot cost was dumb. I'm glad they are getting rid of it. Man, so much of this game was so dumb when it first came out. I don't get how they were able to get away with keeping so much of it in place when they released the game. haha

Over a year later, and there's still a lot of dumb stuff, but at least it looks like it will all eventually get fixed, which is good news.

Yeah lol looking back, this game was a heaping pile of shit when it was first released. I'm shocked we stuck with it for so long. It still has a long way to go, but it's improving with every update.

I generally like Yoshi's ideas, but so far everything implemented seems slightly half-assed still. I'm chalking that up to the awkwardness of trying to shoe horn features onto this old version while truly developing them for a completely different one. Most of the things they didn't think they could do with the server structure and have somehow made work. Either they have genius programmers that weren't on Tanaka's team able to bodge it into working, or the whole 'server can't do it' spiel was just an excuse. Gotta be one or the other lol.

Excuse is my choice of the two. Seeing as how all the things people were asking were things older games have been able to implement just fine. Including some of which FFXI even did. :P

I think farming out the code to china was a big mistake, however, and hopefully they never repeat that brilliant idea.
