Why do they have to make you pay for the privilege of purchasing at the search window? I know a 5% surcharge up to 4k isn't much, but that's still pretty lame. |

Probably just because it's like the AH fee in FFXI. A small way to take some money out of the economy. For the most part, I've never minded that stuff too much, simply because it's helped keep inflation at bay, if even just a little. |

meh, it keeps the retainer system valid, you CAN save by actually running to the retainer. without something like this surcharge it makes the whole retainer system stupid to even be in place (which it still is haha). maybe eventually theyll just toss retainers and give a true ah, i wouldnt bet on it though since there's plans to be able to pay real money to rent extra retainers. |
