I'm guessing by "limited time only" they mean that only people paying and playing the game right now will have a chance to get it.

At least, that makes more sense than going to all the trouble of making it to only let people have it for a month.

It still looks ridiculous though, if they wanted monster mounts they could have used Sheep or Efts or Dodos or something.

Last I heard, they were still going to add Magitek Armor as a mount too. Wonder if they'll make that part of the pre-2.0 crowd too, perhaps as part of the end of the umbral storyline whatever. After all, they need reasons for people to pay now and not wait til 2.0.

1.21 (Job patch) was supposed to be late Feb. Wonder if they'll even get that out in time. Can't help but feel that from the moment the game went pay2play, SE went almost completely silent on how things are coming along.

If gobbues can be tamed as well as the long domesticated chocobos to come to your call and passively let you ride them about even without reigns...doesn't that basically kill the entire lore of the Uldah opening?

Finally logged into to get the mount and it's more fun that I thought it would be. The awesome music could help with that though.
