The Last Word — Wolves in Sheep’s Clothing

The Raven, Gridania’s leading tabloid, alights today, bearing words as dark as its wings. Serial abductions have been reported in Gridania, leaving citizens caught in the vice-like grip of fear.

Intrepid reporter Kipih Jakkya has picked up the scent of the culprits, and writes to us with the findings of her investigation.

You know, when I picture FFXIV lore, I think of a big empty world with a sign posted to the wall that says, "Immediate danger, a gang of ravenous hoodlums is wreaking havoc on all the local villages." And then I go look outside the city and there are no gangs, no hoodlums, no havoc, and no villages. That is the world of FFXIV. Nothingness sprinkled with text.

You see, I don't want to have to get all my excitement and imagination from a sign on a wall when I'm already playing "pretend" just by sitting at my computer to play FFXIV. It's like two layers of pretending. I want the first layer of "pretend" to be fun.
