As part of the World Merge scheduled to take place on Tuesday, March 27, 2012, applications for World transfers are now being accepted. The World transfer application period consists of a first and second stage. We encourage players to complete the application process during the first stage. During the second stage, players will no longer be able to apply for transfers into and out of Worlds that have been filled.

First Stage: From 8:00 GMT, March 1 (Thursday) to 7:59 GMT, March 12 (Monday), 2012.
Second Stage: From 8:00 GMT, March 12 (Monday) to 7:59 GMT, March 19 (Monday), 2012.

Apparently some servers were showing full minutes after applications opened. The rage has already begun on the official forums.

yeah, all the servers are full except the EU designated one lol. the same people who raged when they were told they would have to choose a server are now raging because they got what they requested and don't have to choose haha. the other half is raging because they don't read and understand that they got what the community requested and think they are being forced onto the EU server instead of the auto-merge that is in place. i hate the official forums so much

If i recall, if you chose to transfer and then your origin world filled up, you have no way of cancelling your transfer either.

So if you decided you and your friends were going to go to world X, and it filled up after 5 minutes and only a couple of you got through, all of a sudden you're screwed.
