A part of me still thinks it would have been neat to use Ivalice races instead. But... I don't know if people should ever be able to be a moogle in an FF MMO. Even if that would be the race I'd choose, since they'd be the lalafell counterpart in using Ivalice races.

Pretty happy with my new laptop ;p Cooling on it is amazing, my old laptop was around 80c on GW2, this one plays at 60c max lol Here's a pic of my new baby! ^^

benchmark is at maximum, windowed, 1080p, and btw there is a bug with dual GPU laptops on the benchmark: even though I'm running it on the Nvidia chip, the benchmark still shows me using the intel one. Also, laptops use turbo boost, so the speed of the cpu boosts up automatically but the benchmark won't show that- it's actually 3.4, not the baseline 2.4.

Madi, I am using a laptop too (Apple Mac one even ) with bootcamp and have dual GPU too, I found that if you set the OS to run in Performance mode and have the GFX driver correct for the main GPU then the benchmark does pick up the correct info, on max however my poor Apple only gives me a score of 6k, so im probably gonna drop the res a bit as after playing around I found a good setup that gives a score of 10k on the benchmark

I would think 6k would net you plenty of fps on maximum Reg, so you might not need to scale anything down. My old laptop for example scored 2300 on maximum......and it played ARR beautifully.

Looks like we will be allowed to carry over our appearance from beta 4 into launch. Whether or not we can change our minds after beta 4...remains to be seen.

I assume your character will be flagged with an edit option only once, starting in p4 and continuing through launch. If you do it in p4 it'll carry to launch, but you won't be able to do it again at launch if that's what you mean. However if you don't do it in p4 you'll still be flagged to edit after launch if you just want to wait.

edit: though i'm not sure if you are allowed to hold off on the edit, or it forces you to do it after first login

I like that if I make a manthra my height (5'6"..and a half!) he's considered tall. Haha.

Probably sticking with girl Mithra though. I've been trying different looks but I always come back to pretty basic setups. No paint, no scars, no weird colors, even though a lot of the auto-generated looks are really cool. Dark skin Mithra is a good look, Indian style but again probably just going with half dead pale since I can't find a similar tan shade to what they used in XI.

So I just upgraded from my dual GTX470s in SLI to a single GTX 780. I swear I posted my previous score, but I cant find that post.

I'm pretty happy with the boost. Most of all Im happy that my PC no longer sounds like a jet engine.
