Wouldn't worry about it, looks like Rowena's Tokens and Rowena's Tokens (Soldiery) are entirely different things.

I'm confused. It seems like the Glanzfaust, Liberator, etc are completely different branches from Relic/Zodiac boosts. You've got to have Zenith and use soldiery to buy books from Auriana, then use those books and do some quests to boost relic to i100 right? The other weapons (Weathered i100) are just bought from NPC using rowena soldiery tokens, which are straight up bought using 125 soldiery (need 10) and then can be augmented with sands of time with Gerolt.

Anybody have a clue if the things are a straight progression or if these are completely different objects? Seems like the idea is you can boost relic easily on your own time so the maximum output is lower than whatever shit the Gerolt masterworks require in soldiery grind. I don't know. Maybe the "Animus" weapo ilevels are just misquoted as 100 when they are actually 110.

perhaps the masterworks are like ilvl 100 grey/white items, so they are useless ( more or less) until you have the sands.

This'd mean that you need to spend 1250 soldiery on those plus whatever the sands of time comes from. Plus you'd have to spend whatever soldiery on the zodiac books for relic weapon just in case it ends up stronger than other possible weapons in later patches, eh.

There's an item named "White Raven Armor Fragment".

It's used to craft some unique furniture.

The White Raven is, of course, Nael van Darnus. Who made a very quick background cameo at the end of Coil 1. He's likely the boss of Coil 2.

Excitement.

Get a load of all that skill speed on dragoon gear...god dammit.

The unknown boss theme has a pretty strong opening bombing mission vibe, dig it. Spoiler boss theme is fucking awesome. New dungeons all sound great. Can't tell if Leviathan theme is hilarious awful or hilarious great. I at least know it'll be easy to sing along to.

While his name was Nael van Darnus, Nael Deus Darnus became his name after you beat the first phase of his final boss fight. The Deus is Latin for "God".

"Geminus" is a word meaning double or twin. It might be some kind of split mechanic.

It was my favourite boss fight in 1.0, so I hope it's good.

Oh man...

http://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comments/ ... drop_info/

It may have been Naive to think that we'd see a bump into Myth drop rates to correspond with Myth basically being the same as Philo in 2.0-2.1, but these Myth drop rates are terrible. haha.

You can do Crystal Tower for 100 myth, but basically Turn 1-4 of coil now drop 20.

I should have finished up my last two relic purchases when I could have gotten 300 philo for a duty roulette. I wonder if they'll cost 900 myth for the ra's al ghul quenching oil.

hmm it mentions that you can also trade in DL gear for GC which is lame, should be tradeable for myth.

k, Quenching oil is reported at being 225, which makes sense with the 4:1 ratio. So getting my last two relics isn't as scary of a prospect.

I can't handle reading notes or even reading through everything posted in this thread. It stresses me out. I'm just going to run around like a noob and take three months to figure out all the new content like last time. I still haven't done any beastman dailies because I found the sylph quests so annoying and haven't downed Titan because I was too stubborn to pay for wtfast...I pay for it now and wow, does it ever improve the playability of the game. Totally rambling off on a tangent now...anyway, I guess I'm just crying out for someone to run around blind with me tonight. I'll be on around 9est if anyone is down.

You big liar.

You did CT

But yah, Pie. There's a list of all the stuff unlocked for 2.2 quest-wise. I just made sure before 2.1 that I completed every quest in the game, so that any new events/patches, I'd know if I saw a quest marker, it was new. That's kind of my strategy. Figure I hit up Limsa > Mor Dhona > then wander around and pick 'em up.
