Note that there is no mention of change to Brayflox that everyone was speculating last night.

I'm also surprised they've not done anything about Ventures bringing back inexplicably crazy stuff they really shouldn't be able to.

Being able to queue Coil 1-5 via the Duty Finder is going to be somewhat interesting in the "Jesus Christ no" kind of way.

Heck, Turn 2 in particular means no using the "Enrage" strat, which generally needs 3 healers, but the Duty Finder will force 2. Gonna pass some Allagan Rot around with 8 pugs and no VC?

I think we were kind of cautiously joking about the Brayflox changes.

S-E nerfed speed runs on two dungeons that came out when 2.0 came out. They obviously know speed running will be used however possible on new content, so you would hope they were cognizant of that when they put together Brayflox HM.

So I'm glad they didn't change it. The Animus stage still amounts to basically 270 runs, and if you assume an average time of 7 minute clears, that amounts to 8.6 runs an hour, or 31 and a half hours spent in Brayflox. That's a relatively big chunk of time spent in there. For a weapon that won't even be BiS this patch, so I think the amount of time is reasonable.

Any hope of getting those notes pasted in there for those of us who can't go to that site at work? I'll update it later when I get around to Reddit, if not.

First Coil of Bahamut

Patch 2.21 will introduce the first phase of the Echo to the Binding Coil of Bahamut, as well as address several known issues.

Event The Binding Coil of Bahamut has been adjusted as follows:

  • Players can now queue for the Binding Coil of Bahamut solo via the Duty Finder.
  • Damage reflected by clockwork knights in Turn 4 has been reduced.
  • Players will now receive the power of the Echo. The Echo will take effect upon entering the Binding Coil of Bahamut, increasing players' maximum HP, damage dealt, and healing potency by 10%.
  • Unlike other instances, the strength of the Echo will not increase in the event all party members are incapacitated.
  • The Echo will not be applied in Turn 3.
  • The strength of the Echo is scheduled to be increased two weeks after the release of patch 2.21.

Second Coil of Bahamut

Countermeasures to prevent exploits in the Second Coil of Bahamut have been implemented.

Please be advised that we will be strengthening measures to monitor and counteract illicit activity. Any player found to be in violation of the Terms of Service will be subject to the confiscation of illegitimately obtained items, as well as the temporary suspension or banning of their account.
