It drops ALL of your buffs. This includes food and Signet even. lol

How does that prove Severus wrong. Team Leads are not GameMasters. In your screen shot Teelow admits hes still working for the company, hes just not a GM anymore. He very well may have been moved to a different spot. Considering GMs are generally the lowest level support. Team Leads would be the people GMs talk to when theres a bigger problem.

Still, that screen shot means nothing. Hes still a Square-Enix Employee. Like I said, he probably moved up considering its hard to move down from a GM roll.
Janitorial and cleaning jobs are out sourced 99% of the time when it comes to corporate offices. Even mail rooms (the generic “bottom of the totem pole”) jobs are outsourced for most corporate jobs.

Debug is used on any player that is in jail - but they can use it on anyone at any time.

Yarr, ofcourse the Teelow wouldnt say he was fired and I know he didnt move up on anything hence saying "I know a few GM's IRL". The fact is Severus thinks he is still a GM and he is not - I have his cell phone number, would you like to call and ask him?

LOL -I would make the dynamis lord a giant Mikey with uber -ga spells. Whipe a alliance with 1 hit...

But honstly - I dont think people who moderate the game should be allowed to play it, but ofcourse they would need to play it one time to understand how it works and what happens in it, because lets say you kick the wrong person from your LS and hes a GM - he does Debug every time you go into a sneak/invis area just because he cant... that aint cool.

I tell my irl GM friends they shouldt play the game, because thats not fair to anyone else who plays.

i think GMs should be forced to lv a char in their free time. and then when they goto work that char is granted all the powers of a GM. make everything they do be logged and theyll be held accountable for breaking the rules themself.

this would prevent a GM from fucking with you on the clock as well as off the clock. fear keeps ppl in check, and fear of losing a bad ass job would be a good one.

GMs should also be 1 server specific, that way they can keep tabs on RMT and scammers and such. it makes the process easier when you know who to keep your eye on instead of looking at everyone. less ppl will slip thru the cracks. its not hard to tell whos fishbotting when theyre in Nsandoria for 72 hours straight catching moat carp non stop. its also not hard to spot a gil seller when all they do is the same NM over and over and over for over a year straight never logging out.

i like the idea of GM playing, and lving their job to help with feedback on what a possible nerf may do to a job. you can "beta" any nerf and go ya thats good enough, but a lotta the shit they do is a tad overboard. plus GMs who play on their server they work on gain the access to gain the respect and friendship with players. from what i see Events in ffxi are kinda lame, theres no spontinuity to them its just "trade this to that and get NQ... go here and do that with NQ and get HQ"

GM events would be much better and bring the community as well as SE staff closer together... but they just dont care about the ppl who play only their wallets. id respect a GM more if i saw him play and do things in the game while on the clock instead of the usual autoresponse from a GM call

Everyone should go to service and support and send in what Xiona just said. Maybe that way they would think about it and actually consider some of those things instead of doing exactly what they do now.
