o_o not really too scary. . . I find time in the meaningless hours of the morning and afternoon I spend on bus going to and from my house to the college everyday. @@;;; lol

That graph only shows as 2x more efficient, not 150x. :-P

wrong :p

look at the time alotted at the Y axis. 2hrs of homework for 751 days vs 4 hours of homework for 10 days

What Mikolai said :P

At first I was like WTF, no, it's only 2x, but then I realized that nowhere on that graph does it say "per day". You need to work more, Kay. = P

Author:  Kaylia [ Thu Dec 08, 2005 4:42 pm ]
Post subject:

It's not per day, it's 2 hour in 700 days vs 4hours in 10 day >_>

Author:  Feep [ Thu Dec 08, 2005 9:45 pm ]
Post subject:

No, I know, that's why it IS 150x more efficient. It was just surprising to me, because I figured it would be per day....like I said, you need to do more work ^^

im glad i quit too.
pathetically, ffxi was probably the funnest period of my life.
but real life is so much better when im not playing it, and real life is what counts, so im glad i quit.

I agree too, I like to check the forums every now and then to see whats going on with you guys though. Plus I've always hated the fact that the JPs got the game 1 yr prior to US PC release, so I'm just holding out now for a sweet MMORPG that US players can get in on the ground floor with. Plus I got two months of training for my new job coming up so wouldn't have much time anyhow. That reminds me, anyonje from the Spokane, WA area?

I dont think you need to quit to get your life in order. I think some times you have to cut down how much you play.

I play maybe half as much as I use to but have achived a really nice ballance. My girlfriend is getting use to FFXI and I can play that more now while she does other things.

Sometimes its easier to just quit than to log in once a week for an hour to find out you cant do anything in that timeframe, and logoff having done nothing other than chat a little. lol. at least thats how i think of it now

Cut down your play time is something really hard to do when you don't have any obligations to keep you away from the game. You just get bored and end up logging back, wasting your time ingame. I never missed a class, and always finished my paper, but it's the bare minimum I'm doing.

I personally think it's easier to play FFXI when you have a job considering you can do whatever you want with your free time once you get home. When you're studying, 1/2 of the work done at home and mixing it with FFXI give ugly result.

I slacked at h/w when I played FFXI. And I've been slacking at h/w for the past 4 months I havn't been playing FFXI. Its not the game thats my problem, I just can't get myself motivated to do work at home. I guess I can blame it on ADD... Most of the time i'd rather just stare blankly into the wall rather then do my work.

yea, it's more about no motivation than the game that stops people from doing things they need to do.
