Fought this thing earlier today for the new A Relic Reborn quest. Killed it twice, ran fraps for the second fight. So here it is.

I guess the fight is pretty simple as long as you have bards on a silence order and block all "Voice" attacks. There are a few other things your mages need to worry about, like running away from targeted area attacks, or a homing electric ball, but nothing too crazy as long as you block all the voice attacks.

That was a fun fight. That fidgety taru strafing left and right the whole fight is kinda annoying though.

But it really helps me dodge AOE if I'm already on the move!

All I can see in that fight is that you have two Bards but there was only 1 venomous bite for almost the entire fight, and not sure I saw our other dot ever. =P

one venomous bite = coming from the bard who isn't on voice duty

if you are on voice duty, simply using venomous bite could be enough time for the monster to land the voice. = wipe

While I recognize the need to be careful (especially at low hp when he chains 2-4 voices in quick succession) one shouldn't have to sit around doing nothing for half the fight just to interrupt voice.

Blunt Arrow is off the primary gcd so it won't interfere with your main attacks. You should simply refrain from using bloodletter/misery's end/dps cooldowns and rain of blood since those share the "non gcd" ability 1 second cooldown.

That said you guys won and it was fine, I guess after 10 prior wipes I might have felt the same too.

Yea perhaps if done perfectly you might be able to squeeze in a little DoT. But it puts your silence on cooldown and the voice move you only have about a half second window to react. A previous loss I had tried to throw in venom and thats why we lost. There is enough damage in the 8-man party to not risk it.

Even between rotations on which brd, the recast is that fast? PS i cant see in the video any 'casting' statement, what is the signal to silence?

You stare at the boss' HP bar like your life depends on it. The casting bar appears there.

EDIT: The HUD one, not the one floating above his head.

Nice use of the macro's and sound I would hope though we could use Mumble for future fights going to need mine soon.

We used mumble last night and killed it pretty easily. It seems like most people have it figured out (it was my first time).

It shouldn't be hard to gather people for help with this when you need it. The fight itself is rather quick. I will help if i'm online.

Man, just tried this in a pug. After an hour and a half they still refuse to interrupt both voices. Oh how I love people!

I'm on this stage as well now so if we could get another CKD group going that would be great :D
