Still living in the same city, just now in a house not an apartment. Ive been offline for the last three days. Im online now and of course there are 2 people (including me) online in FFXIV. lol

Nice man!!! This has been a slow week. A few of us teamed up with another LS to farm keys and fight Ifrit last night haha.

Hopefully more people will login today/tomorrow. I'm still at work.

Im done allt he moving stuff. I had to do even more moving last night, but im done now and living in a house full of boxes.

I'll take some pictures later, the house is empty, we're watching TV on lawn chairs

I remember doing those moves and once you get all your damn boxes and broken down furnitures on walls. We would spend First night sleeping on Floor with kids and getting TV running movies so kids would get used to house.

I can't say much about kids adjusting to moves, but my dogs certainly didn't. I have some torn up carpet to show for it. Really pissed me off that we were in the house less than 24 hours (had the keys for awhile now, but finally just got stuff moved in), and the dogs went ahead and chewed up the carpet in front of the door to my room.

I know there's a lot of anxiety in pets with moving and such, but it reaaaaaaally pissed me off. They got so freaked out they actually broke out of their cages, so I don't know what to do in terms of locking them up when I leave the house until they get used to it.

Just have to sell 'em off to the doggy glue factory.

Ridere, ever try the thundershirt for dogs? They are supose to work pretty good, it basically hugs the dog and makes them feel secure. My cat's vet says they work well.

Dunno if you did this Rid, but you're supposed to take the dogs on several visits to the new territory prior to their first overnight stay.

I didn't do that, Kio. haha. They're doing better, though. They only tore up about 4 sq ft of carpet right in front of the door to my room, so it shouldn't be the hardest thing in the world to replace, I don't think.

Hard part will be finding matching carpet.

most sane people will keep excess rolls of carpet usually tucked away in an attick, basement or crawlspace. Go digging around in your storage areas, the person who built the house should have kept extra carpet and siding. If they didn't they suck, and you can always get a stylish welcome mat for your bedroom door lol.

Btw hope you're not too mad at them, it's kinda sad and cute that they got scared and probably were trying really hard to get to where they thought you were.

I'm pretty sure the guy didn't leave extra carpet, but they did leave extra other things. Worst case scenario, I'll just get donor carpet from my walk-in closet, and use that. Doesn't matter as much if the carpet in the closet is off a bit in one corner.

And I'm not super mad at them, no. They are annoying, little buggers, though. haha. I zip-tied up their crates today to reinforce all the hook joints, so I don't think they'll be breaking out of it today. We'll see when I get home, though.

I did leave the door to my room open, just in case. lol. They've spent all weekend hanging out in the entertainment room, however, so I think they're pretty relaxed there now.
