in about a month or so I'll be ordering my new gaming laptop for xiv 2.0 (unfortunately desktops aren't an option for me in my current situation, so spare the wasting money comments, as I'm aware that I'm doing so haha) and my current laptop is fine, but around 2.5 years ago when I bought it I remember asshole Krellis found a better one for around the same price that I hadn't noticed and he didn't tell me. . .because he's a fat asshole. Anyways this is more of a challenge to fatass Krellis or anyone else who wants to play and is bored: find me what you think is a better/more reliable/whatever laptop for around the same price or cheaper. I'm determined to have the best this time around which is why I made this thread a month in advance ha MSI is the company, the price tag on Amazon is 2699$ which I can lower to 2499$ by switching to 2 instead of 3 SSDs and 24 gigs of ram instead of 32, since even 24 is probably excessive and ridiculous lol; everything else between the two models is identical. If I'm correct, that is the most powerful mobile GPU on market currently. Make sure you buy one of these with it.  (A CO2 one specifically. Shouldn't use any other kind of extinguisher on live electrical equipment. Know your fire extinguishers.) On a more serious note. Is a triple-striped SSD RAID really necessary, what the hell, lol. SSDs are already pretty much damn instant. |

I'm convincing myself to spend the extra 200 for the 3 ssds and 32 gigs of ram just because it's ridiculous and makes me feel sassy. However I still have over a month before I order it, maybe i'll find something from aother company I like better.The new razer pro laptop looks nice but I bet its extremely overpriced just like the first razer, while probably not being as good, an alien ware situation basically. |

I never understand the need to RAID SSD, they are so fast already. I have 16GB of RAM on my laptop (because it was included) and I've never come close to using more than 1/4 of it. I have 8GB on my home PC which I use for graphic design, gaming, photo editing, etc and i've never even needed more than 8. It will definately be sassy. Do whatever makes you happy Madi! |

I was shopping around for a laptop as well. In the end i just went with converting my ps3 into a mobile option.  Snagged one up on sale for $180 on amazon. |
